Madelyn Pilcher,  DNP, FNP-C

NE Representative

I have worked as a Occupational Nurse Practitioner for Onsite Innovations, Inc. at Quaker Oats in Cedar Rapids for over a year. Prior to this position, I was a post operative Orthopedic NP at Mercy Medical Center, Cedar Rapids, for three 3 years.

My initial bachelors is from Saint Mary's of Notre Dame in Biology, May, 2005. I worked politics for a few years before returning to the medical field. I graduated from Creighton University’s Accelerated Nursing Program in December 2008 with a BS in Nursing and started working as an Emergency Department Staff Nurse at Mercy Hospital, Council Bluffs, Iowa, shortly after. I returned to the University of Iowa College of Nursing in 2010 to complete my DNP studies in May 2013 . While in school, I worked as a perioperative nurse at the Iowa City Ambulatory Surgery Center.

Personally, I was born and raised in Cedar Rapids, Iowa where my entire family still resides. I am a single mom with a two year old daughter, Stella and an eight year old, five pound yorkie, Mac. Due to my long time residence in Cedar Rapids (NE Iowa), I am familiar with both local, state, and federal representatives.

I am excited for the chance to get more involved in the advancement of rights and responsibilities for Nurse Practitioners in Iowa and the Nation.
