Anne Gentil-Archer received a diploma from La Source, a private nursing school in Lausanne, Switzerland in 1982, and completed her RN-BSN at the University of Iowa in 2001. She received her DNP in adult and geriatrics in May of 2013. She is currently studying for her mental health certification at the University of Iowa. Dr. Anne Gentil-Archer has been on the faculty at the University of Iowa College of Nursing (UI CON) since August 2013. She teaches Nursing and Pharmacology Interventions I, a face-to-face class, to undergraduate nursing students and she practices with the Faculty Practice.
Dr. Anne Gentil-Archer is nationally board certified in adult and geriatric care. She practices four days a week providing care to residents in rural long term facilities. Her interests are in geriatrics, both physical and mental health, rural care and healthcare policies.
Dr. Anne Gentil-Archer has been a board member of the Iowa Nurse Practitioners Society (INPS) since October 2014.
